WINGS TO FLY
In India, as well as across the globe, women take career breaks for many reasons that are beyond their reach. The most common reasons include Childbirth, Relocation, Marriage, and Taking care of elderly people. Our daughters follow the path of education to become successful doctors, engineers or entrepreneurs and not to be full-time homemakers. But whenever a family needs support, it is expected from women to prioritize family at the cost of their career and professional dreams. At times, these breaks get extended to years and women find it more and more difficult to restart their careers. Society loses its economic strength if these women are not able to restart and contribute their share in economic growth.
Due to the gap in the career, she faces rejections from employers based on her lack of current market skills, long disconnect from the industry and employer’s attitude towards hiring such a woman. It brings her morale down making it extremely difficult for any woman to make a way back into the workforce.
To combat these difficult situations and support a social cause, EKYAA has initiated a training program for women on a career break - “ WINGS TO FLY”. Our training program is designed to help women on a break by providing them complete technical and soft-skill training. Through this training, we strive to align with organizations’ CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) Program and empower women to rebuild their careers with confidence and increased self-esteem. It also helps women polish their existing skills and learn the current market skill-set. With this training, women will have answers to all their questions whether they can handle recruiters or how compatible their skills are to the ever-changing market scenario.
